WATER BAPTISM
Water Baptism is a public declaration of our identification with Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection. By getting baptized you are publicly saying to those around you that you have died to yourself and have decided to follow Christ. We believe the ordinance of baptism by immersion in water is commanded of all who repent and believe in Christ as Saviour. It represents having died with Christ and being raised with Him in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)
WHO CAN BE BAPTISED?
The two main qualifications for anyone to be baptised are:
- Repentance
- Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
NOTE:
- To be water baptised does not necessarily qualify you to be a member of the church.
- All baptism candidates are required to attend a compulsory teaching session on water baptism organised either in Life Groups or individual basis.
- All baptism candidates who have attended the Water Baptism session will be issued with a certificate after they have been through the water baptism service.
- Should you need a parental consent to get baptised, please complete the Water Baptism Parental Consent Form and bring it along with you on the day.
